I have installed the 1.4 version several times on Windows 7 including using admin privs. When you run the app a dialog pops up warning that if you proceed you risk data corruption. If you proceed the app just dies.

I ran it in compatibility mode for XP and it worked.
I am having the same issue with Windows 7.
