Hi Girish, As you mentioned, running different classifiers depending on user input could be one approach to real-time input. Image retrieval suffers from a problem called the "semantic gap": the retrieved images may not meet the intent of the user. In addition, different users may have different ideas of what is similar, e.g. by tumour location as opposed to tumour volume. The idea behind the feedback loop is refine the search parameters in an iterative manner until the user is satisfied with what is retrieved. Iteration 0 would be the initial query formulation in which, using your suggestion as an example, the user would select the initial set of classifiers to apply. We would also like to include as part of the query formulation process the ability for the user to select regions of interest, or to exclude parts of the region from the query (e.g., limit image similarity to the lung region).
