#96 calculate properties: simple operations on imported properties

It would be very useful to be able to perform some basic operations on the imported properties, e.g., difference between two activity measurements. These basic operations should be possible on numbers, e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and if possible also on strings, e.g., string concatenation.
