#99 Scaffold Hunter version 2.3.1 release request
Hi,
i would like to propose to releaes 2.3.1 soon, since we have fixed another 25 bugs since 2.3.0.
Therefore, i would like to propose to concentrate on the last two open bugs for this release and than move on with other stuff.
What i would also like to see implemented soon are the feature requests:
- 37 for new sessions: open all views only on demand
- 38 split subsets by scaffolds on a specified level
- 23 Random Subset Generation
as they are needed by some users here.
Should we do this before the 2.3.1 release or maybe after it?
This are features to implement, but i think a minor release would be OK for them as they do not intruduce some huge new feature.
Are there important things to fix before 2.3.1 that are not marked as "next release" yet?
I have not found further reports on bugs that must be fixed for the next release. I think adding these features in a minor release is fine.
I think we should go ahead now with the release, in order to have all fixes done before
the GSoC start.
since sven wants to finish his last fixes this week, we are targeting a release at the end of the next week.
feature request 23 and 37 is also already implemented. Maybe we can finish 38 as well.
The bugs mentioned above have been fixed and most feature request have been implemented. I would like to include Shamshads patch for feature request #38 tomorrow and then do the release. We can then create branches for GSoC from the release version. Is this okay?
