This bug report is again a very specific phenomenon which is unfortunately not fully reproducible. The main objective is to create a new session out of a new database with a new tree and following opening/loading of this session. The steps are:
1. Manage Datasets --> New Dataset --> choose sdf --> browse (...) + select file --> give the dataset a name --> create new import job --> start import
2. map all unmapped properties --> ok --> close
3. new tree --> fill in the tree title --> generate tree --> close
4. close
5. select the new dataset --> enter a title for the session --> create --> ok --> open --> ok
The loading dialog appears and disappears after a few seconds. No further window occurs. SH seems to be closed.
Maybe it is time depend (it is more often when I am fast) and I think it has something to do with the selection of the file for the import. It happens more often if I directly double click on the sdf and the directories above. And scroll using the mouse wheel in the box for selecting the dataset.
I know this issue to be present in a development version prior to th release of 2.5.0, while using java in version 1.6.
Can you please give some informations about your java version and your Scaffold Hunter version?
If you are using java 1.6 please try 1.7 and see if the problem persists. If you are still uising a version < 2.5.0 please give the new release a try.
Java Version: 1.8.
SH Version: r2931M
Can you please try the SH version 2.5.0. It has some libraries recompiled with a correct java version.
I tried the new SH version 2.5. a few times and the issue was there once. I will further observe it and if necessary report my conclusions.
I got the following error messages when starting from the terminal:
I could not yet reproduce this bug, but I noticed another oddity:
1. Create a new session like in the starting post
2. Open the session (with some views)
3. Now go back to the session loading dialog, without closing the SH
For some reason the newly created dataset does not show up in the dropdown list. If I restart the SH, then everything is alright. It seems this only happens, if I create the dataset with the same SH instance. Once it was restarted, the new dataset always shows up.
The outcome of your observation is the same like in bug #190. Maybe the two possible ways to get there are related to the same bug?
Sorry, I overlooked bug #190. However, the my issue is now resolved anyway, as mentioned in bug #190.
@lina: does this bug still occur to you?
I tried it a couple of times with the newest version (2.6.3) and everything worked like expected.
closing the bug then
