At the time of the release, I patched the source to put the saved data and temp files in a seperate dir, so that it could be installed system-wide on *nix. This however broke the Windows compilation, and hence I didn't commit it to CVS yet. I think the source tarball of the 0.1 release contained this code though, so that won't be directly usable for Windows. I've been really busy catching up with some non-uqm stuff I had been postponing before the release, so I've only now gotten around to fixing and commiting the code for the seperate data and temp files to CVS (with some additional cleanups). I advice everyone who wants to use the source to always use the most recent CVS version. Serge P.S. If you exit the game in full game mode, the temporary files won't be deleted. It's a known bug which will be addressed in time. |
