The development of Simple Browser has ceased at version 2.1. This is because all features have been implemented that are are possible in a JavaScript environment.

The whole of http://www.webventures.com.au/ was re designed into a stylish Black website. Simple Browser has a new home at http://www.webventures.com.au/browser/
A new Blog is also on Webventures that provides news about all the Webventures - hosted products (Simple Browser, Simple Desktop).

Today Simple Browser version 2.0.0 was publicly released! The major new feature being an image - rich interface.
New features (from v.1) include:

* Elegant Interface
* Right Click menu
* Faster loading
* Customized error warnings
* Less toolbar space (exactly 51px!)
* Faster loading
* Multi-platform support!!
Research is underway into standalone JavaScript environments, this would allow Simple Browser to run without the need of a pre-installed web browser. But this is a long way off.

Simple Browser is an easy to use web browser that is written entirely out of web-based languages (HTML, CSS and JS). Today we publicly released version 1.7.6! Brand new features include better printing, ability to receive online updates (see the user guide on the Wiki), and a right – click menu.

To be able to update you must have a connection to the server at http://www.webventures.com.au/sb/. From there your version (number) is compared to the latest version number on your machine! The release documentation (notes) was posted on the wiki, it replaces the quickly written notes previously available. The notes are in PDF format and can be found at the Wiki Release Docs section or at http://www.webventures.com.au/sb/doc/release-notes.pdf

Version 1.7.1 of Simple Browser was publicly released this morning. Major new features include a on-right-click menu, this allows easy access to Home, Reload, Back and forwards. If you want download older versions, as always: Check out the downloads page at:

Today, Simple Browser finally got a proper website at Webventures. It will display News (this) on the homepage, which will display information about the latest version.
