During the 1Q2009 ECUTE survey, Han CDL Zhang(Ripley) asked to add traffic filter
When taking the "man-in-the-middle" role between a CIM client and an actual CIMOM, CIM XML analyzer by default capture all messages go back and forth between them, and drop previous captured messages if the messages' number exceed a upper limit.
However this sometime cannot meet users' requirement when they have special interest to some certain kind of messages, like extrinsic method invocation, instance inquiry to specific classes, instance inquiry on those with a field contains meaningful concrete value etc.
By enabling a filter, users could capture more information before XML analyzer start to drop messages.
