Need to override certain Global Properties. The first one is Socket Connects with Timeout. Director runs with this set to true because in most cases we do want to have a timeout set on socket connections, however, there are also cases when we don't want that behavior and would like to do a setProperty() before initialize() have have it to be overridden. The same holds for Synchronized SSL handshakes. This could be accomplished by replacing the call in HttpClient.resetSocket() from WBEMConfiguration.getGlobalConfiguration() to this.iHttpClientPool.getConfigurationContext().

Patch sent for community review. During a 2 week period any
exploiter may comment on the patch, request changes or turn it
down completely (with good reason). For the time being the patch is part of the "Experimental" branch in CVS.

The community review has completed and we received no substantial criticism. Therefore the patch has been approved and merged into the "HEAD" branch. The next release will pick it up.

The patch was picked up by release 2.1.10 and will therefore be closed.
