I found my SoundBridge M1000 the other day and eventually ended up here. Turned out that the old thing is still pretty useful for internet radio, so I was happy to find this project!
Unfortunately the Windows .exe was not happy with a newer Java Runtime and seemed to insist on version 1.4. I was unable to find an official source for the 1.4 JRE, but I did find a functioning installer linked on a university software project page.

This runtime did allow SoundBridgeCommander to run under Windows 10.
I certainly don't expect a fix, but I figured filing a note here might help some future Google searcher with the same problem.
Thanks again for releasing this project, and for leaving the old web sites up!
Hi and thanks for your interest! I was wondering a few months back whether anyone (else) still uses this software, or Soundbridges, for that matter. Unfortunately I can't be of much help on the Windows packaging since I didn't work on that part of it. I can say that the jar file still runs for me, on Linux at least, and on versions as late as Java 8. It is likely to work on later versions too, but I haven't tried them.
So for Windows you might try running it from a console window command line using something like "java -jar SoundbridgeCommander.jar".
There may well be more to it than that, but dig around and give it a try. If you can't figure it out let me know and I'll give it a look, but it may take me a while to get it worked out. It's been years (decades?) since I've looked at this and I was never a Windows guy to begin with.
Good thinking, I was so focused on the .exe I never thought about trying to get the naked .jar to run!
Maybe there are only 2 of us using the software, but I am sure I'll be using it a lot ... it's great to see what's playing since my device is all the way across the room.
Cheers!
For a small act of thoughtfulness almost 2 years ago, horseflesh wins the Internet today.
And I guess there are at least three of us!
