It's done, it's done. I just checked in the last series of commits,
including the documentation updates and NEWS.
There are still some holes in terms of interrupt handling, occasional
small windows where some GC invariants have been varied, and so on,
but it's good enough to let people bang on it... Or to try and make it
run on something other than Linux.
So now there's a third entry in NEWS, preventing 1.0.42 from setting a
new record for fewest newsworthy changes in an SBCL release.
And, on that note, I'm going to go find a beverage to celebrate with,
and then get some sleep.

i never had a ppc machine*, but i was following the latest ppc
commits, and i can't leave this mail unanswered.
i was reading the commit logs, sometimes the commit diffs themselves,
and found them educational and entertaining.
so, nyef, here goes a big thank you for your efforts!
