In Amsterdam a couple folks from the SBCL team suggested that it'd be possible for someone to build a binary distribution of SBCL 0.9.0 for Linux x86-32 and put it up on the Sourceforge files page. This'd be a huge help for me in producing the SBCL Lispbox to go with my book since I have only an antiquated 2.4 kernel and can't build a proper multithreaded SBCL. (I understand that a version built on a 2.6 kernel will run multithreaded on futex-enabled kernels and will run (but without threads) on older kernels.) It's uploaded now. Unfortunately, I don't know how to frob the sbcl.org web pages into linking the right file on the "getting.html" page. (help!)
