I'm inclined not to release SBCL this month.
There have been enough difficulties with the code that users may have
been scared off from running the CVS version for more than a week.
Thus, I doubt that this version is as well tested as usual as would be
There have also been difficulties with individual developers. Not only
has Dan Barlow recently had acute connectivity problems, I have also
suffered increasingly severe chronic connectivity problems over the
last few months. I'm in the middle of switching to a new ISP, which
was supposed to help by last week, but now looks like it might take a
little longer. Thus, releasing on schedule might mean another bout of
struggling for hours with fragile connections between me and
SourceForge, and it would take a significant miracle to put me in the
mood for that.
