After reinstalling dlcompat, will I also have to rebuild sbcl?

I ask because I've reinstalled dlcompat, as you suggested with the 
option:
./configure --enable-fink

But I still get the same error when trying to load the foreign code:
* (load-1-foreign "/Users/raffaelc/Developer/test/test.so")

* (load "/Users/raffaelc/Developer/test/test.fasl")

debugger invoked on condition of type SIMPLE-ERROR:
   unknown foreign symbol: "_c_function"
