The only recent problems I've had building on SPARC was the GC changes that happend a while ago didn't include the sparc's GC.  That got fixed, but, I don't have access to the system where I have that documented.  It was somewhere in 1.0.33 though.

I'm happy to upload a recent version if you want to try running that to do your builds.

BTW, I'm happy to hear that there is a Fedora/Sparc project.
