Hi, I have already post a feature request about it, but I would like to also ask here, if there is a workaround. Currently, sbackup refuses to run if it is not run by root - would it be possible to circumvent it somehow?
As to my motivation - I want to back up just my home directory (I do not need to backup my system, I would reinstall it and get running in just an hour or two, so it is pointless to me) so it is inconvenient that the resulting file is owned by root.

Mostly that requirement was a simplification, so that I do not have to handle all kinds of permission errors :D
I will look into what can be done for plain user use.
