is there any way to run a function from a library module from Java ?
I get "Module declaration must not be used in a main module" when I try to =
my library module to an XQueryExpression object.

You need to have a main module to satisfy the syntax rules, but it doesn't
need to do anything useful (the query body can just be "0"). Once you've
compiled it into an XQuery expression, you can invoke functions directly
using the getUserDefinedFunction() and UserFunction.call() methods (but note
these are low-level methods that don't do much checking of the arguments you
