I am trying to install Saxon 7 on my Windows-2000 machine.I have jdk 1.4 installed on my machine.I unzipped the Saxon files into a folder Saxon7-6, and I added the following string into the Path variable: C:\saxon7-6\saxon7.jar.
After this I tried the command java net.sf.saxon.Transform FILELIST.xml test.xsl.
This resulted in the following error:"Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/sf/saxon/Transform". Is this due to the fact that saxon7.jar is not in the path? But I did add the jar file to the path.
Next, I tried to directly execute the files using the command java -jar saxon7.jar. This resulted in the following error: "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/transform/TransformerException".
Could someone please inform me where I am going wrong, and how I could overcome this.
