[saxon] encoding URIs in Saxon?

Hello,

I would like to know if is possible to encode URIs with Saxon.

The str.encode-uri function of EXSLT seems to provide exactly what I would need (http://www.exslt.org/str/functions/encode-uri/index.html), but it does not seem to be implemented in Saxon, or is it? Or something similar?

Saxon provides all three of the XPath 2.0 functions for URI encoding:

iri-to-uri()
encode-for-uri()
escape-html-uri()
