I assume you can find something that will unzip a .zip file on linux
(there's an unzip command on some linux distributions, I don't know if it's
universal). After that, you're home and dry: no further installation is
needed. You just put the saxon8.jar file on your classpath and call java to
invoke one of the entry points such as net.sf.saxon.Transform or
