I was always under the assumption that 9ee works basically as a He when using the basic key as follows,, is there something wrong with the key perhaps?

I haven't seen this one before. It could be some kind of license key
corruption? (Is the transformation doing anything that needs a license key?)
Is the JAR file usable without a license key? - try to run
java -cp calabash/saxon9ee.jar net.sf.saxon.Version
Is the license key usable on its own? - try to run
java -cp calabash/saxon9ee.jar com.saxonica.config.Verifier
