I am having some problems with SQL inserts using SAXON into an Oracle database.  If my XML data file is large, my style sheet errors out with an Oracle error as:

Error at sql:insert on line 80 of file:MyStyleSheet.xsl:
(SQL) INSERT INTO PATH (PAFPOS,NEXTP,XDIFF,YDIFF) VALUES (?,?,?,?): ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded

It seems that the oracle cursors are not being properly closed.  I see no problems within my style sheet and suspect that it may be that the underlying Java code is not closing the cursors with a statement such as

Has anybody run into this type of problem?  Is this a know problem with SAXON?  Any work known work around within the style sheet?
