Do you want your access to the tree to be from XSLT, or from Java?

If from XSLT, you can either do a multi-phase transformation in one stylesheet (write the result to a variable), or you can pipelines the output of one stylesheet to be the input to another.

If from Java, send the transformation result to a DOMResult object, and then manipulate it using the Java API. Alternatively, sent it to a SAXResult, and manipulate it in a SAX filter.

There are examples in the TraxExamples.java sample application.

Subject: [saxon] SAXON output tree access

Hi,

Is there a way to gain access to the "tree" that is being written during transformation. If i have an xml and an xsl file that pumps out html, can i access the html tree that is to be written, from inside of xsl, before its written so that i can insert or delete nodes ?
