No

When XQuery is invoked from the command line, and the query location is supplied as a URI (either by using the -u option, or by using a filename that starts "http:" or "file:"), then the ModuleURIResolver is called to resolve the location of the main query module. In this case (a) the ModuleURIResolver must not return null, and (b) it must return a singleton StreamSource (and array of length one).

A patch will be raised on the 9.1 and 9.2 branches to allow the ModuleURIResolver to return null (forcing delegation to the standard ModuleURIResolver). The Javadoc documentation will be improved for the next release to make clear that if the ModuleURIResolver does not return null, then it must return a singleton StreamSource for the main module.
