When validating xs:hexBinary input, or converting a
string to hexBinary, Saxon doesn't allow leading or
trailing whitespace.

Source fix: change the constructor at line 22 of
net.sf.saxon.value.HexBinaryValue to start

public HexBinaryValue(CharSequence in) throws
XPathException {
CharSequence s = trimWhitespace(in);
