I'd suggest stopping the source with <source>.stop from the telnet console. This is my harbor definition:
root = input.harbor( id = "root", auth = checkpass, on_connect = conn,
on_disconnect = disconn,
Now, the ID is "root" so I can kick the source by issuing 'root.stop' from the Telnet console.
I'm using Liquidsoap 0.9.1+svn (trunk/liquidsoap@...), Depending on what you're using, that might be different.
