Thanks, good to see.
Did you use the OpenGL or X11 version of Geomview to create this? (The =
movie doesn't have texturemapping of the coverage map cylindrical view =
which OpenGL makes possible, but it does have the logo around the right =
way in the right corner, suggesting OpenGL. Yet X11 has less problems =
taking snapshots in my experience.)
I think the second wait command could be removed from no_frames.tcl, but =
doubt it would have much effect. I don't know if a ui-freeze command =
sent to Geomview would help.

Subject: [savi] my first SaVi film!
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
just manage to make me a nice film! Using yesterday's cvs version, i
made three runs of the snapshot feature, using 50 snaps - this prevented
some stuttering. Then I converted the ppms to pngs, ran mencoder and
produced a 6Mb, 8fps film of a constellation (a galileo-like design, I
just changed the orbit 'a').
It's not bad at all; there's some loss in the encoding, but that's the
codec's fault (or feature).
Below there's a link to the film. It will most likely open directly in
the browser, but at 4 AM I'm not really into html..
