Im back at work now.. & just thought of a good (but EASY ) suggestion that =
i'll like implemented...

Ive been looking at the logs, & my 'general' one is over 1 megabyte now... =
(mainly its just me - testing the server etc..)

this year.. hopefully it will  be more widely used by staff...

Just one suggestion. :- - No worries...
but it will enable us to hold / store information for as long as we want - =
If we need to delete excess/old files - we can easily delete the ones we =
want...



In the configuration settings..... =20

Can we have a setting that allows us 4 types  of logging ?

Eg=20

:- Default (same logging as now)
:- Daily
:- Weekly
:- Monthly

- where the default is the same as it is currently..

IE - all Info goes into the general.txt / hit.txt & reference text.

If you set it to daily/weekly/monthly ... it creates a new log - for each =
day/week/month.

IE - For the weekly one...  you'll get logs for

G2002011.txt (week one of Jan 2002) - general log
G2002012.txt (week two of Jan 2002)

H2002011.txt (week one of Jan 2002) - Hits log log
H2002012.txt (week two of Jan 2002)


Ie, up untill 11:59 p.m. on the 7th of January, it goes into week one...
on/after 12 midnight (AM) on the 8th.. - It goes into week 2

as there are only 3-4 weeks in a year, you only need a single digit to =
record the week..

For the hourly log.. - You can have=20

G020101a.txt (1st Jan 02 - Hour 'a' (00:00:00 - 00:59:59) - general log
G020101b.txt (1st Jan 02 - Hour 'b' (01:00:00 - 01:59:59)
