Well, strangely enough, Savant ended up working w/o any modification on my
part.  In the lower left-part of the Savant window, it now has useful
information regarding where the server is serving from - previously, it
simply had the name of my computer.  So... I'm not sure what caused the
change, but it's working just fine now.  thanks!
