Please pardon my inquiry if this is fixed in Savant 3.0. I thought I'd ask before I upgrade. I have been running Savant 2.1 for more than a year with no problems. The web server is connected directly to the DSL modem. Savant shows itself listening on evrtwa1-xxx-xxx-xxx.evrtwa1.dsl.gtei.net. , the correct address for my IP I installed a Netgear Firewall Router FR314 between my web server and the DSL modem to create a home network. The router is configured to pass through incoming port 80 requests to 192.168.0.2 , the web server behind the router. When I launch Savant it shows listening on my_computername rather than my LAN IP address of 192.168.0.2 . Incoming HTTP traffic gets to Savant but Savant will not serve the files back to the internet nor does it serve error messages. What is happening here? My ftp server works from behind the router. I installed another webserver, Falcon, and it worked fine. Falcon shows itself listing on the correct LAN IP, 192.168.0.2. Will Savant 3.0 fix this problem? Is it necessary to uninstall Savant 2.1 before installing Savant 3.0? Thanks. ps Other than the fact that Falcon served my files, I sure like Savant alot better! And Falcon didn't run my CGI's.
