I am seeing a slightly different variation of this issue. The message appears fine when selected from the Inbox, and reply/forward also work as expected. The problem comes when any one of the quick links is clicked. The message then refreshes to a blank screen. It does not seem to matter if the sender is already whitelisted and you are removing them, etc. Just whenever you click the quick links.
Here is an Apache error log entry that is generated whenever the quick links are clicked:
I guess I spoke too soon. This problem seems to have been fixed by installing php5-gettext, php5-mbstring, and php5-iconv. Not sure which one actually fixed it, but I guess I should have had them installed anyway. This was with openSUSE 10.1.
