Saratoga protocol - home

Lloyd Wood Charles Smith Wesley Eddy

Saratoga is a UDP-based file transfer and streaming protocol for fast hop-by-hop transfers on privately-owned networks. Saratoga is scalable, designed to handle very small (less than 64 KiB) and very large (exa-exabyte) files.

Saratoga was first developed at Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) to download imagery from its remote-sensing Disaster Monitoring Constellation satellites. The majority of information on Saratoga is on the Saratoga web page maintained by Lloyd Wood.

Further information, such as on implementations or on related work, can be added in this wiki.
