Fine, but what about the backend? As SAP is going to stop support for =
7.3x and 7.4x versions of SapDB after first quarter of the next year, =
would sapforge libraries support MaxDB, which is no more free? What is =
the use of LGPL interfaces when backend has become commercial? If one =
buys commercial backend, he gets the interfaces also with backend (I =
think so). Please correct me if I am wrong.
Regards,
Vinod

Ok, main objective: maintain LGPL versions of all programming =
interfaces: JDBC Driver, ODBC driver, and so on. This is important to =
people who want's to develop comercial software that will use SapDB as =
backend server.
Steps:
1) Wait for latest releases from oficial Sap LGPL drivers;
2) Fix and internationalize, releasing new versions always in LGPL =
license.
3) Less important, create new tools to help database developers and =
administrators.
I expect to translate our wishes in few lines.
Best regards,
Edson Richter
