Yes, it affects the core of the project ... and it seems to "deprecate" almost all the core of Spring-Annotations ... I'll release a compatibility pack, that uses spring 2.1, because the only thing that is missing in the spring-core is the auto discovery of beans. I think after this, the only thing that will be in the spring-annotation core is the beans auto discovery. and I think the other modules of the project will be splitted into other projects. The only thing that will keep the project alive is the already existing user base. I'm not currently implementing much innovation in the project, and there are no suggestions from users for that too. Have you seen the new features Spring packs in 2.1<http://blog.interface21.com/main/2007/05/14/annotation-driven-dependency-injection-in-spring-21/>? I have to say that I was expecting them sooner or later. What's your opinion about the future of the project? It seems to affect the core of it, doesn't it? |
