Any chance this update will come soon? I must scan into a proprietary application that refuses to cooperate with this driver. (waiting endless). The application claims to support WIA or Twain (unknown version)

Not soon, but maybe someday. I've barely looked at WIA and from what I've seen so far I'm not sure it's feasible to dynamically adapt a WIA driver depending on the SANE backend. It seems like a worthwhile thing to do if it can work.
