1.8.0 is released

1) There are major fixes and enhancements to authentication security problem. We made a change in 1.7 which did not allow for ending a login. Conceivable someone could use the back button in a browser to access your session. 2) switched to DBI for database connections. 3) xml reporting and export. 4) Invoices are real now and can be recalled in exactly the same state they were created. 5) There is a debian dependency package in our repositories (www.pcxperience.org). Sorrry no deb for SandSurfer itself yet.

SandSurfer 1.7.0 available

SandSurfer 1.7.0 is available for immediate download.

This release fixes a major security issue whereby an attacker could assume the identity of a currently logged in user and do anything the system allowed them todo.

Other major improvements are entities (clients, departments, etc.) are now identified by a name and code value, not fname, lname, have a Contact Person field and can have user activity for the previous week e-mailed to them, if desired. Also, the entity identifier is now admin definable as a string, not a boolean value limited to Client/Department. You will need to edit all your entities after the database upgrade.... read more
