Greetings,
Can you give some tips on installing SIP with an
existing ZopeX3 install? I installed ZopeX3 from the
zope.org tarball, rather than checking it out from svn
as outlined in the SIP README. This has left me
scratching my head a little on how to proceed, which is
not helped by the fact that the zope terminology and
methods are, at this stage, foreign to me. I am also
not a zope, python, or, for that matter, postgres guru
- any plans to provide a more detailed install guide
for the scientist? Also, how far away is the Qt client?
Cheers
Aaron.

Aaron,
SIP currently only works with Zope 3.0 and so far there has been no commitment
to bring it up to date with Zope 3.2. I would be interested to hear if you ever
got SIP installed and how it is working for you. I am working on the Qt client
now. So far it has the ability to browse samples and aliquots. We are now
working to add the ability to do splits and derives and also create new samples.
