#36 Error when trying to update

salientos-hooks: /usr/share/libalpm/hooks/lsb-release.hook exists in filesystem
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.

When I run sudo pacupg or pacman -Syyu I get this problem. I am using the latest may release of salient os.

    Yes sorry, this is due to a change in the package.

    If you manually remove those files first then run the update again it should be fine!

    I have been trying to update a new install Arch.After a couple of errors ,

    So doing my duty I searched online and tried the solution{s} I found.Same results,nada.
    Same results with nothing being fixed or removed to re-install.I have the Kernel: 5.12.1-arch1-1 on CPU: Intel i5-8300H (8) @ 4.000GHz [48.0°C] GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630 GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Mobile .

    Any help would be apprechiated .On Salient OS.XFCE version

    I added this file also because it seems to be at the root of the problem to me.Using update via the terminal will stop due to errors but it will update via the add and remove.Once using tthis method the add/remove icon disappears from panel and no longer able to update.

    This is now fixed!
    what I found was was first that ttf fonts would throw up a error message on a new install/first update.Then errors appeared after a fresh install and once first error was corrected, at then first update the main key for signing.That was simple after a search .for the error I got, sudo pacman -S archlinux-keyring.Problem solved
    Threw all this pamac would disappear.. That too has been fixed.Thanks for a great distro..Ken S
