Hello. I am encountering another issue which has been occurring for a few weeks now. While playing specific games through Steam, at random intervals the connection to the server momentarily drops. What is strange; however, is that I am able to browse the web despite losing connection to the game. (all players freeze). The abberation occurs for a few seconds, give or take.

When I check the networking graph in game, it appears as if the pulse has been cut off. There is nothing new happening, as if the server lost connection and I am timing out. But I know that this is entirely client side. This does not occur on my Windows partition, or any other Linux distrobutions I have been exposed to. It happens with the 11 release as well. The FPS games which give me this issue are Source games, like CSS, TF. It significantly impairs my ability to play well.

This may or may not be correlated with the aforementioned issue, but I also receive the message "A start job is now running for dhcpd on enp7s0" upon by booting up my system and shutting it down. The message does not hang for long, but allocates a few seconds on boot/start time. I also find this to be strange as I have a wired connection. I am connected through ethernet, which should automatically establish a connection to my router.

There is a possiblity; however, that these issues are entirely out of the purview of Salient OS. Meaning it has to do with Arch Linux itself. But, perhaps you can still help me resolve these issues. It would certainly make my computing experience much greater.

Once you are logged in to the system you can use the network manager applet to disable wireless altogether. I do this as I am also on a wired connection.

You believe this will work? I do not experience this on the 19.10 version of Salient OS. Also, I believe the source of the issue is the IP being reassigned...

I also don't have any wireless adapter on my PC, just an ethernet connection.
