when I installed MX on another partion,it messed up the boot order. So now I get the long code checking screen before system finally opens. The fail shows as systemctl status and to check it.well I opened it in the terminal and here is what I got in the attachment file.
Not really sure what to look for so I copied it and here it is with no meddling by me.
The files name shows m/t but its not.

yes,I had to do that step about 2 months or so.Just watched your youtube and retried. As I thought was not needed.I figure its because grub has been over written when I put Elementary on a separate drive, and once I reconnected the usb drive that Salients on something got messed up.I got 2 drives in desktop + the external Seagate .I set bios to boot from sd1/Seagate.Sda 2 &3 were suppose to be bootable as separate drives, but all seem to be lumped together at startup.
When I disconnect interal drives then I get a grub error,so I've been looking at grub repair or reloading just the grub to correct the problem .
But thats where my know-how ends.Any helpful hints would be helpful other than a reinstall that is.
hold up on that.watching Eric Adams video on Fix Arch Linux Boot with arch-chroot.Maybe this will get threw my thick brain.

well that didn't work.
checked systemctl status and it shows that system as degraded.
So okay now to figure how to get system back to upgraded or normal.
Work in progress.I drove a truck now trying to learn bash and stuff.Well it passes the time and learning is always good, besides it fun.

well done something completely different.(yes Monty Python referance).I formatted elementary disk then put Salient 243 on it.Thats what was on the usb.Rebooted and ran the arch fix for updates, then done the pacupd-upg.got 653 updates installed.then I done sudo reflect and the fun began after pacupd pacupg. At the moment its running a whole system test.Says 6266 tests,4 threads.Thats a first for me.This is taking a thurough approach to a system upgrade.I'll report later.

seems its error is in loading of kernel and bootloader.the system will eventually boot after a long ,lengthy system check.

Have you performed this step from the terminal?
pacman -Rdd libdmx libxxf86dga libxxf86misc && pacman -Syu
explained here: https://www.archlinux.org/news/xorg-cleanup-requires-manual-intervention/
Then after that, still in terminal issue the following:
sudo reflect
pacupd
pacupg
After this your system should update correctly. The next build won't have this issue which arose after the current build.

That image show that the libc++ is being recompiled and is performing unit tests. There must have been an update for it.
