    Hi Silent,
Have a i9-9900k system. Dual boot Win 10 and Salient Arch, kernel 5.7.7. Each OS has their own SSD. Upgraded my motherboard from an ASRock Z370 to an Asus Z390. Ever since the network and internet is very slow on Arch but works normal under Windows. NIC is the same on both the Z370 & Z390 boards, Intel 1219-V.

dmesg | grep e1000e shows this:

    2.647182] e1000e: Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Driver - 3.2.6-k

    [ 2.647182] e1000e: Copyright(c) 1999 - 2015 Intel Corporation.

    [ 3.193219] e1000e 0000:00:1f.6 eno1: renamed from eth0

    [ 17.807482] e1000e 0000:00:1f.6 eno1: NIC Link is Up 1000 Mbps Full Duplex, Flow Control: Rx/Tx

    [ 23.702716] e1000e 0000:00:1f.6 eno1: NIC Link is Up 1000 Mbps Full Duplex, Flow Control: Rx/Tx

Any things I should try? Considering a re-install if I can't resolve this.

So after finding out the kernel after 5.7 seemed to have issues with that Intel NIC I removed Salient from my dual boot. A few weeks ago I decided to put together a dedicated Linux PC and used a Ryzen 5 3600 and an MSI motherboard that uses a Realtek NIC. Runs great, no speed issues at all.
