Woops, thank you for pointing that out i will ensure that is corrected in the next build release and thanks for taking the time to report that issue, much appreciated.
Kind regards, Silent

You are welcome Sir.
I am enjoying my salient install [I wiped 4 SSDs on my testing machine as per housekeeping for 2019 and started again with salient...you are number 1 on my SSD rack!]
Cheers, mrneilypops

Hello, thank you for efforts, thank you for salient os...
I seem to be having the same issue, although I'm on a newer version(?)...
I nave disabled screen saver activation as well as display switch off, from power manager but my laptop (old Esprimo, core 2 duo w' Intel graphics) keeps locking me out. I can unlock back in but not every time. Quite often I gett a big message that I will be redirected to the unlocking dialog but never do. I simply have to switch off and restart...
Any hint you could give will be appreciated

Go to Settings, Power Manager, System and ensure the System Sleep Mode is set to Suspend, then move the slider all the way to the left so the text underneath says 'never'.
Then go to the Display tab and move both sliders all the way to the left so for each again, the text says 'never'.
Finally go to the Security tab and Set Automatically lock the session to never. Also make sure Lock the screen when system is going to sleep is unchecked.
Now go to Settings, Screensaver and toggle enable screensaver to Off.
Now go to Lock Screen tab and disable the Enable Lock Screen toggle. Reboot!
That should resolve it for you.

I had done all but the Screensaver's Lock Screen setting... As I say when you can't find something it's hidden in plain sight... I can't thank you enough, though

I've been having what sounds like the same problem. While watching videos, either on a web page, or in Kodi, or perhaps in both, after a certain amount of time the screen locked without even a warning. I've just changed the settings as described here, so I hope that will work. Unfortunately, after changing them, my only option was Close, not Save, or even Apply, so I hope this works.

Hi Mr. Robot,
I have salient installed.
Very nice work!
One issue I had was screen blanking on both the live cd and when installed.
As soon as screen blanking activated I was unable to get back to the
desktop (black screen).
This was solved by deactivating screen blanking in the power manager.
A bit of a problem on the live cd when this happens during install...
[I used the nvidia edition]
Everything else is cool!
Kind regards, Neil

In fact I 'd rather find a way to disable screen locking comletely so if you could gide me towards to it , please...
Go to Settings, Power Manager, System and ensure the System Sleep Mode is set to Suspend, then move the slider all the way to the left so the text underneath says 'never'.
Then go to the Display tab and move both sliders all the way to the left so for each again, the text says 'never'.
