Unfortunately, I don't personally have any experience with OTA/QAM in Sage so I'm not going to be particularly helpful here. What I can say is that this plugin only injects EPG data into wiz.bin and cannot in any way affect your ability to scan in channels or tune them in.

In the past, others have had to scan in their channels, setup sdepg to pull in their guide data then map their scanned channels to the stationid numbers on the Schedules Direct lineup in order to link the scanned channels with their EPG data from the plugin. This sounds like the issue you may be having. Basically the procedure should be the same as if you were going to use the Sage EPG as your data source instead of sdepg. So whatever you'd have to do to get your scanned channels to use the Sage EPG data, you need to do the same thing to get those scanned channels to use the sdepg data.

Right, you won't until you link the Schedules Direct stationid values to the scanned in channels. sdepg is likely importing the epg data, but there are no channels linked to those stations in your lineup(s) and so you will get blank EPG data.

I can confirm that sdepg is injecting the epg data if you attach your most recent sdepg log files.

Also, I assume you're running the latest version of the webui plugin? I have a debug script that you can call from it that will give me plenty more details about your current system config that will help me narrow down the issue as best I can.

Install the attached debug.gsp file into SageTV\webserver\groovy\ then in your browser go to http://[ip]:[port]/debug.gsp and attach the html source of the response (so I can easily view it in my browser).

Like I said, my tuners are working even when I tell it to play the no data program in the guide. This started happening after the latest sdepg plugin update. I just now told sage to scan all 3 tuners for channels and now I have guide data. seems strange that updating the plugin would somehow cause a disconnect between program guide and actual tuner channels, and it said there were no new channels after the scan but I now have the data. I am trying to technically understand this and I can’t make sense of it. It would seems that doing the tuner scan would get the proper frequencies and link it to the proper channel in the guide which is why I now have the data BUT it said it found no new channels which seems to suggest that the tuner frequencies must have been correct before the scan I just did even though I had no data and I didn’t have to map anything. I like to understand how the system works as it makes it easier to diagnose but this one has me puzzled.

You'll have to ask QAM/OTA users on the forums because, as I said, I don't use either, I'm just satellite/cable. From what I remember from others, the scan will try to map epg data to the scanned channels based on callsign. So you'd have to scan at least once after getting the epg data in so that "auto mapping" can take place. So if you scanned before installing the plugin, that would explain no epg data.

But, again, that's only my best guess as I just have no experience with QAM/OTA in Sage.
