Java Heap Memory Usage

The Java heap on various gemstone installs of version 10 is growing very large - main downside to this is that I think it's slowing down responsiveness on the extender.
On my server, which just has 3 hd300's connected, the java heap (set to 0x400 in windows, 1024 MB) was maxed out with two instances of Gemstone running.
On my development client, which has a 1024 heap also, a single instance was getting up above 750.
I don't know if this is a bug or just something to be mindful of - for now upping the heap on my server is working OK.
btl.

Not good to hear so we should watch this as I like to keep the heap usage low. I have to prod HD300's that I use this on daily and generally the heap is between 500-700... however, I do find I need to reset the server nearly weekly as the heap eventually does fill up.
I have cleaned up some of this and found ways of sharing some memory space between extenders by using a shared Menu File (the server stores this only once then for all extenders that share the menu).
I will need to look at ways to reduce this... also open to suggestions.

I noticed my main test client get over 900 tonight after return from a flow, but it seems to drop down to about 840 on its own. I only run a single HD300 so I don't see my server get too high.
I never have to restart or anything tough.
Are there any logs that you would like Ken?
