Ralf asked me to try the latest fricas spkg, so I did. It installs fine (after one has installed ecl-9.8.4.spkg), so I would like to give http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/6517 a positive review. It would be great if somebody else could do the administrative things for me... A word of warning: display of fricas stuff looks quite garbled.
