Description:
Import grid from ESRI's Arc/Info grid format.
** Execution Example:**
** Notes:**
Although loading an Arc/Info ASCII grid would seem to be a completely straightforward process (considering that this is possibly the most widely used format in the earth sciences for grids), there are some tricks you need to be aware of:
1. Examine the file with any good ASCII editor to make certain that the nodata_value in the header is exactly the same as it appears within the grid
2. Make sure there are no trailing spaces after any of the 6 header lines
3. Make sure the 6 header lines are exactly in the order specified by ESRI (keep a template handy to check), and that the labels are spelled correctly
4. If the nodata_value falls outside the range e-32 to e+32, then you must use the 8-byte option during loading; it's a good idea also to switch (during loading) from the originator's nodata_value to Saga's -99999 to avoid other problems
