I used some variable such as slope, elevation curvature ....... to make a
model for predicting animal habitats. I have visualized the model in map form,
but I prefer to make a probability map which will represent the probability of
detecting an animal in any location in the study area. This probability should
be represented by different colors and the legend attached to the map.
Hints on how to get it done will be greatly appreciated.
You can do that using a logistic regression. You must have some locations
where the animal was seen as a vector map, and then you can sample that
locations on your input layers. The data can be the introduced in a logistic
regression or other probabilistic statistic model to obtain the probability of
animal presence on the entire grid. A strong reference on these methods in
relation with SAGA and R you have http://spatial-
