I found the overland flow module in SAGA which I think is very useful. The overland flow distance is perticularly interesting to me. I would also like to find out that, when a DEM cell is linked to a stream to calculate the overland flow distance, can we find which Strahler order of the stream is? In other words, when a water particle first enters the channel network, which Strahler order of the channel does it get in? This information is quite useful for me.

you can calculate this with the Terrain Analysis > Hydrology > Strahler Order tool. The only limitation is that the tool does not offer any parameters to control things like minimum channel length etc.
