Hi there. I downloaded the extension from Safegmail through Chrome but cannot see anything different on my Gmail homepage. I have clicked on "Compose," but do not see any sort of "Encrypt" button. Can you help?

Even i have the same issue. I had downloaded and installed an earlier version on a different laptop (Windows XP, Chrome latest) and it works fine. I wanted to install it on another computer recently and the encrypt button just doesnt show up. This is the most recent version of SafeGmail. Please update.

Did you figure out what the issue was?
There was no issue at all.

In what language is your Gmail?

English
That's odd, maybe you have more extensions that are blocking ours.
In your browser, copy & paste this link:
chrome://chrome/extensions/
Try to delete other extensions, and CHECK that SafeGmail is listed there.
Hi,
did that and it showed only one extension, Safegmail, and said, "enabled." I have a MACbook. Could that be it?
I'm having the same problem exactly with a macbook operating with mac os x version 10.6.8 and the latest chrome browser.
I am also having the exact same problem with a macbook running Mountain Lion. Is there a solution for this yet?

Gmail, Recently changed their structure, so button didn't show up.
We've fixed this issue, it's working now. Thanks.

Button not showing up on Win7 Japanese. Restarted Chrome. No encrypt settings.
Change your Gmail to English.
it is already set to English (UK). I tried English (US) as well. No change.

Well, you should see an Encrypt Check Box. Maybe remove others extensions. Try reloading the COMPOSE page, Control + R

ok ... got the encrypt box to appear on a mac 10.6 by disabling all labs in gmail ... windows still not appearing
win7 gmail with all extensions off (except this one of course) and all labs off ... encrypt button showing up but error on encryption ... still trying
Nice work, there is still something in the Gmail schema that is not standard. Service is working fine.
Maybe try changing the e-mail format to HTML (not plain text)
I have the same issue with my Chromebook that I just got. The button doesn't show up. I disabled all my extensions and it still doesn't work.
