#35 No sound on channel 0 when playing 5.1 DSD file

Dear Maxim:
We are developing a new chipset that can do DSD 5.1 playback. A probelm has puzzled us for a few weeks: when playing a DSD 5.1 file, there is no sound on channel 0. Output on the other 5 channels are correct. If I switch DSD mode to DoP, the problem is the same. But if I switch SACD output mode to PCM, then the output on channel 0 is correct.
Could you shed some light on us?

    Is this problem the same when you don't use ASIO Proxy? I mean, plugin plays channel 0 for PCM, but not for DoP.

By 'don't use ASIO Proxy', do you mean choosing output device other than 'ASIO:foo_dsd_asio'?


BTW, a customer reported a strange problem: After playing a .dsf file, an error message will pop up if next one is a .dff file.

      The error message is: "proxy_output::process_samples() => Output ready wait time exceeded". This problem occurs on windows 7 only.(OK on windows 10)

      We tried to roolback sacd decoder, and find that versions before 1.0.0 are OK.

      From the source code, it seems ,in proxy_output_t::process_samples(), m_output->update(output_ready) is waiting something and failed.  Could you give us some hint?
